Reply with quote | #1 | I'll never forget standing outside the box office at the Sunset 5. I was waiting for something, don't know what... when a complete stranger came up to the ticket booth and said, "Two tickets for 'Jacks Or Better.'"
I've done theatre all my life. Heard plenty of people buy tickets for a show I was in -- but somehow that was completely different. This one I wrote. I directed. And they were paying money to see my work. Very cool.
... I hope they liked it. __________________ DWF 2000 Winner Best Screenplay "Jacks or Better"

Reply with quote | #3 | That's really neat. Yeah I loved seeing my work on a big screen for the first time. That was a nice moment in previous festivals. Actually one of my favorite things that I didn't think would be a big deal was getting my first IMDb entry (my previous work was music videos, corporate, and training videos -- no IMDb stuff), just because I started my interest in film as a critic and film history buff, so I have used the site as a resource for so long, since as long as I've been on the Internet practically, and actually having my own listing on there is just pretty cool somehow. |
